Tech Tuesday - LEGO, Creatures, & Robotics

Some of the fascinating uses of LEGO (so-called) toy products have come in areas of robotics, particularly when interfacing with living creatures.  On the simple side, Design Boom informed us of how a tortoise pet owner helped their little loved on regain his mobility with use of a LEGO wheelchair here.

Also, on Science Alert, "Scientists have put a worm’s brain into a Lego robot’s body - and it works" here.  I hope it doesn't use its new powers for evil.

Finally, if you are predisposed to do so, oregonstate.edu has a PDF on the "Steps to starting a LEGO robotics program" here.

Tech Tuesday - CRITS or FAILS Coin, LEGO Female Scientist Kit, Cardboard Tech Models

If you're at Gen Con Indy this week, be sure to check out the CRITS or FAILS Coin from the folks at Campaign Coins.  Looks very cool to me.  So, remember, GM's Day is always right around the corner!

In the world of LEGO, a recent article on Space.com mentioned "LEGO Releases Female Scientist Kit, Sells Out Same Day."  That's quite heartening to me.

Finally, over on thisiscolossal.com, there is a new article featuring "Imaginative Industrial Flying Machines Made From Cardboard by Daniel Agdag."
