Rebuilding EN World

As many of you know, EN World was hit by some hackers over the holidays and the site was devastated.  They saved the database but are scrambling to make the site whole again.  To that end, they have begun a campaign to Rebuild the website and even have a Kickstarter with just two weeks to go.  See more here and here!

Seth Abramson Reviews Hobbit Reviewers

Earlier this month, in the Huff Post Books section, there was a very good point made by poet Seth Abramson regarding the various reviews circulating about Peter Jackson's treatment of The Hobbit.  In it, he says,
All of this may seem like hapless nerd-kvetching, but consider: Would a film critic reviewing a Jane Austen adaptation be forgiven for exhibiting little knowledge of (and little willingness to embrace) the film's source material? How about Tolstoy? The reviews of The Hobbit don't just indulge, they indeed rely upon both the critics' and readers' ignorance of Tolkien's tale

Dragonmeet British RPG Industry Panel

At Dragonmeet in the UK early in December, a video was made of a panel formed to discuss the state of the British RPG industry.  In attendance were James Wallis, Phil Masters, Dominic McDowall-Thomas, Simon J Rogers, and Piers "The Magus" Connolly.  It's been uploaded to the GMSMagazine YouTube channel and it is about an hour long but very interesting, if at times a bit difficult to hear.  Enjoy!
